Project Analysis

Target Audience: Woman ages from 18-40 mid level income, mostly woman with a high fashion lifestyle, that wear make up.

Product Rationale:There are many candles out there that smell good but once your done burning it, you through the can away. And the candles that do smell good never look nicely design or viewed as a piece of art decor. My candles will smell good, look good and after using them you can turn it into a make-up brush holder its reusable.

Message: Whimsical
Problem: Candle companies miss the mark when it comes to having a great smell and it actually looking nice while on your desk,co
ffee table, etc. Candle companies never seem to play off the fact that the smell actually lets you escape reality, or calms you down.

Marketing problem: you can find a nice looking candle that is package well and you might want to use it for decor but it does not smell well. Or you may find a candle that smell amazing but looks awful on your luxury coffee table.

Top companies like Yankee candles smell extraordinary, however they are old fashion, not hip or modern, and look awful on any table. Candles are a piece of decor a form of interior design and should be treated that way when packaging it.

Objective: Create a candle label that is highly attractive, and could be used as decoration piece as well.

Slogan Theme: modern, classy, attractive. 

 

 

Point of Purchase  

 

I would use point of purchase with very nice display if it was at Target. However if I was to sell it at Pier I imports I would have it arranged in a way that my buyer could see how to use it as a decor piece like in there 3 and 4 photo.

I would use point of purchase: I would have a nice display to engage the buyer in my product.

I have decided to create a modern day candle that can be repurposed into an interior decor piece. The colors I have chosen are 3 different palettes to help fit in any home, the typography is very feminine and i wanted to introduce some “enchanted” like characteristics so I added a light feather.
